Curry powers Warriors to Game 4 win over Celtics to even NBA Finals 2-2

-

Steph Curry put on a tremendous performance to lead the Golden State Warriors to an important Game 2 NBA Finals victory 107-97 over Boston. Boston came into the game with an opportunity to take full control of the series after stealing a game in San Francisco and then winning on Wednesday night in Game 3. But Curry came out on fire and shot the ball well throughout the game to lead the way for the Warriors.

Curry came into the game nursing an ankle injury that he suffered in Wednesday night’s game but showed no issues on Friday night. He knocked down 7 three pointers and scored 43 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way setting up what’s now a best of 3 series that heads back to San Francisco on Monday night.

The Warriors also got contributions from Andrew Wiggins who scored 17 points and 16 boards.

Boston’s star Jayson Tatum struggled a bit down the stretch going 1 of 5 from the field in the 4th quarter but finished the game with 23 points.

Draymond Green bounced back to have a much better game than his miserable performance in Game 2 of the series despite Steve Kerr benching him at key moments during the 4th quarter. Green finished the night 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. He still struggled to score shooting only 1 of 7 from the field finishing with 2 points.

Game 5 is Monday night in San Francisco. Game 6 will see the series return to Boston. Golden State will host Game 7 if necessary.
